MacBooks have a soldered SSD, encrypted to the rest of the system since T2 and Apple silicon. We therefore erase data via the Apple-supported erase procedure, not by removing the drive separately. Logic board defects are often not economical to repair; battery, screen and keyboard usually are. What cannot be repaired goes to recycling.

How is the data erased when the SSD is soldered?

How long does a repair round take?
As an indication: three to five working days per batch, phased delivery is possible. After the intake you receive a planning.
Can I get the repaired MacBooks back?
Yes. You choose per batch: back to your organisation, or on to remarketing where the proceeds are paid out or offset.
