What is still usable we value in advance, free of charge. We buy it back, prepare it for a second life and offset the proceeds against the processing costs, or pay them out. That way the residual value of your old fleet often covers the cost of the entire assignment.
From your office to the certificate
Every device stays under chain-of-custody from collection to processing. You will notice three moments in this, and you receive proof on paper for each one.

Sealed transport
Our own staff collect the equipment, with a transfer receipt. On arrival we record every device by serial number.

Erasure, repair or recycling
Every device is erased or destroyed according to NIST SP 800-88. Usable hardware goes to repair, the rest to separated material streams.

Dossier and payout
You receive the registration report, the certificates per device and the residual value statement, paid out or offset.
What you get back from every assignment
No loose receipts from four different parties, but one dossier per assignment. Legible for your auditor, your CSRD reporting and your own administration.
Registration report
Every device recorded by serial number on arrival, with status through to processing. Plus the transfer receipt from the collection.
Certificate per device
A certificate of erasure or destruction per device with serial number, model, method and date. Without that registration, a certificate is not usable in an audit.
Statement and material streams
The valuation and proceeds per device, and an overview of the material streams that were recycled. Ready for your sustainability report.
What exactly is ITAD?
IT Asset Disposition: the responsible disposal of decommissioned IT hardware. At RQNX this includes data destruction, recycling, repair and remarketing, in one chain and with one dossier.
What does NIST SP 800-88 involve?
The American guideline for sanitising storage media, the global standard in ITAD. It has three levels: Clear, Purge and Destroy. Which level fits depends on the type of device and how sensitive the data is.
Isn't formatting enough?
No. After formatting or a factory reset, data can often still be recovered with free software. Only a verified erasure or physical destruction makes data unrecoverable, and only a certificate per serial number proves that.
What is my hardware still worth?
We value that in advance, free of charge. Age, brand, condition and market demand determine the value. We buy back usable equipment; the proceeds are paid out or offset against the processing costs.
Which equipment do you accept?
Laptops, desktops, servers, storage, network equipment, phones, tablets, loose storage media and peripherals. If in doubt, send a list and we will confirm within one working day.
Can you erase data at our location?
Yes. For sensitive environments we bring an erasure station or shredder to you. Registration and certificate per device are the same as processing at our site.
How quickly do you plan a collection?
For most requests within a week. There is no hard minimum: from a few laptops to a complete data centre.
